AWARDS
Ribbons,
rosettes and other awards will be presented.
Any award may be withheld if, in the opinion
of the judges, the entry is not worthy of an award. In Division I &
III, not only are the flower and the stalk evaluated but also evidence of
the entrant's cultural practices, care and grooming (25%) are seriously
considered. Bulbous iris, collections, English boxes and seedlings may not
be considered for "Best Specimen of Show" award but are eligible
for other awards. Seedlings are eligible for the Exhibition Certificate
but are not awarded ribbons except for Best Seedling. Single blossom classes
may not have award ribbons counted for AIS silver and bronze Medal Certificates
and are not eligible for Best Specimen of Show Award. All AIS judges are
encouraged to submit their vote to the Chairperson for any seedling worthy
of an Exhibition Certificate. Seedling awards are not counted toward the
Silver or Bronze Medal Certificate.
